In Remembrance

In loving remembrance of Gerald Titmus - Northern Ireland Fire Brigade. He past away yesterday at the age of 45 following a brief illness. I had the awesome opportunity of meeting Gerald when he came to the United States as a member of Fire Fighters For Christ. Our local members asked me to host them at Pelco where I work and give them a tour of our Memorial. Gerald was full of antics. He was endearing. He was actually a police officer for a number of years. He faced terrorists and had many attempts on his life. He was President of the Northern Ireland chapter of Fire Fighters For Christ. He was recently made Chaplain of the Northern Ireland Fire Brigade and received his Class As. He never got to wear them. Gerald, well done.

I am a member of the Northern Ireland Fire Brigade and can testify that Gerald was a true great, a legend and a personal friend. He was an awesome preacher and yet retained the common touch. He will leave a hugh void in Firefighters For Christ in N/Ireland. God bless you Brother.

Gerald will be sadly missed be everyone in the Northern Ireland Fire and rescue service who know him. A true solder of the faith. He fought the good fight, he finished the race, he kept the faith- and now he will receive his crown in heaven, he his returned with honour.

Gerald is loved by many and will be truly missed! His love of the Lord, huge heart, humility, & wonderful humor leave a void in the hearts & lives of all who knew him. I pray that the Lord comforts his family & special friend in N Ireland. He loved each of you and Gerald knew that each of you loved him unconditionally. He left a piece of himself in all of those who knew him. "To live is Christ but to die is gain." Phil 1:21
